Research in Sport Pedagogy
The starting point of a sport pedagogical practice are implicit and explicit understandings of the human being, different ideas of education and upbringing as well as justifications about the goals of this practice. Our research addresses these aspects from the perspective of educational theory using appropriate methodological approaches (hermeneutic, empirical-qualitative and -quantitative methods).
What relevance do movement and corporeality have in the course of social developments (digitalization, heterogeneity)? What images of man and body concepts underlie the practical fields of sport? What is the significance of sport pedagogical reference points such as performance, health, fairness and aesthetics, and how can a critical-constructive didactics of sport meet the requirements of a complex life world? The LFB Sportpädagogik is researching these central questions.
