"Football is more than a game"

Soccer as a competitive sport naturally has a superior form of professional soccer in addition to the sporting challenge in the youth and amateur sectors. The high physical demands of soccer require systematic training with individual training control, depending on position and performance level. The physical component is supplemented by psychological as well as mental-cognitive aspects, which must be reflected in a long-lasting training process.

Movement on apparatus - apparatus gymnastics is offered as an elective sport in the various degree programmes. Training takes place with good equipment in the sports facility of the campus.

The movement field of exploring, creating, and performing deals with the differentiation of the body's movement possibilities using gymnastics as an example and also picks up on the variety of specific, body-oriented training methods and somatic practices. With the development of differentiated body awareness, improvisational and creative activity is also developed.

Handball training takes place in the university's own gym and in the summer semesters on the beach handball court at the Faculty of Sport Science. In addition, you can regularly improve your skills in a more specialised course.

"Citius, altius, fortius" is not only the motto of the Olympic Games but also of track and field training at university. This takes place on a throwing area, a 400m synthetic running track, two separate long jump pits and a shot put facility. Three pole vault facilities offer unique conditions for learning this demanding discipline.

Sailing

The movement field of exploring, creating, and performing uses the example of dance to take up movement and expression possibilities of the human body and at the same time introduces stylistic forms and dance techniques as differentiated languages of movement. On the basis of diverse body and movement experiences, the training is oriented towards the development of creative ability and choreographic work.

Volleyball training mainly takes place in the halls of the campus sports facility ("Caspo"). In the winter semester, the contents of volleyball education include match observation in the context of attending a game in the Bundesliga (there is a cooperation with USC Münster).

In the specialised course, students have the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the sport from different perspectives (competitive sport, school sport, ...). The acquisition of a coaching licence is possible under certain conditions.
