What kind of examination do you need?

Medical health and performance check-up

Examinations according to the scale of fees for doctors

  • Sports medicine clinical examination
  • Resting ECG and blood pressure
  • Exercise ECG and blood pressure (bicycle ergometer) with lactate determination
  • Laboratory (ESR, blood count, lipid metabolism parameters, glucose, electrolytes, kidney values, iron metabolism parameters, uric acid, liver values, magnesium)
  • Written evaluation and consultation

Further medical examination services

  • additional treadmill exercise with lactate determination
  • additional spiroergometry (breathing gas analysis during exercise)
  • Lung function test
  • Determination of other laboratory parameters
  • Doppler echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound)
  • Sonography of the musculoskeletal system
  • Body fat determination (impedance method or caliper method)
  • Determination of fitness for diving
  • Eye test (see folding box vision diagnostics)

Sport science performance diagnostics

The following offers require a medically certified fitness for sports. A medical examination is not included!

Endurance-Check I (120 Euro)

  • Step test with heart rate and lactate analysis on the treadmill, bicycle ergometer and hand crank ergometer
  • Written evaluation with the definition of the training areas according to heart rate and speed or power.
  • Sport scientific consultation

Endurance-Check II (180 Euro)

  • Step test with breathing gas, heart rate and lactate analysis on the treadmill, bicycle ergometer and hand crank ergometer.
  • Written evaluation with the definition of training zones according to heart rate and speed or power output
  • Sports science advice

Endurance-Check III (sport-specific field test; 1 person: 105 Euro, 2 persons: 180 Euro, each additional 40 Euro)

  • Routinely for runners and game athletes
  • Individual for your sport (min. 10 participants)
  • Step test with heart rate and lactate analysis
  • Written evaluation with the definition of training zones according to heart rate and speed or power output
  • Sports science advice

Determination of the maximum oxygen uptake (90 Euro)

  • on the treadmill or a bicycle ergometer
  • Exertion of the organism is induced
  • Determining the maximum oxygen uptake by measuring the respiratory gases

Eyesight test

  • Objective refraction (autorefraction; determination of the possible gain in visual performance through correction as well as the possible type of refractive error)
  • Subjective refraction (determining whether short-sightedness, long-sightedness or astigmatism is present; setting the correction values).
  • Visual acuity test (monocular, binocular, near and far)
  • Contrast vision (contrast threshold/contrast sensitivity function; visual performance in unfavourable contrast conditions frequently encountered in sport).
  • Twilight visual acuity and glare sensitivity
  • Stereoscopic vision (near vision; binocularity)
  • Natural depth vision (estimating distances, etc.)
  • Movement perception
  • Oculomotor performance
  • Corneal shape (keratography/corneal topography)
  • Visual field expansion and peripheral vision
  • Colour vision
  • Eye dominance

The examinations in bold are the minimum for the statement "in need of correction" or "normal vision"; the others are optional/supplementary depending on the question or sport-related requirement.
